Delightfully sweet aromatic fruit considered the tropical equivalent of a cherry. Grumichama comes in a range of coloured fruits (purple, black and yellow), each with its own subtly unique flavour. The fruit are borne in clusters and most delicious when consumed fresh of the tree. The fruit is highly sought for use in conserves, and baked goods. A spectacular small to medium tree that is equally ornamental as it is delicious, with glossy green leaves and fragrant white flowers in profusion during September to November in the southern hemisphere.
The tree is adapted to wet tropical and sub-tropical environments and needs to be protected from frost conditions. Resistance to cyclones is moderate when pruned to a low to medium height - a form where fruit collection is very easy. Fruit development benefits from wet conditions punctuated by hot sunny days.

Malabar chestnuts are tasty, nutritious nuts, that can be eaten raw or roasted.
An attractive evergreen tree growing to about 6 metres, with a smooth straight trunk topped by a wide, rounded canopy. Malabar Chestnut requires moist soil and is well suited to wet swampy areas of the tropics and subtropics. Spectacular large white flowers develop into hard pods, which split open to reveal the nuts inside.
Panama Gold and Panama Red
Panama Passionfruit vines produce large, oval shaped fruits full of sweet, juicy pulp.
The vines require a sturdy support and will fruit best in full sun.
Granadilla is a variety of Passionfruit with very large, orange skinned fruit. The pulp and seeds inside can be scooped out and eaten like an ordinary passionfruit. The soft pith can also be cooked and eaten.

Dark purple-black grape-like fruits grow on the trunk of the Jaboticaba tree. Juicy and refreshing when eaten fresh, they can also be used to make jams, jellies, wine or juice.
A slow growing evergreen tree, can eventually reach a height of 10 metres. Prefers moist well drained soil, and will benefit from extra irrigation in dry weather, especially when flowering and fruiting. It can be pruned to retain a neat form and to maintain an easily manageable size .
Red Cherry Guava, Yellow Cherry Guava
Cherry Guava fruit are sweet, delicious
The Red fruiting variety has small, cherry sized, dark red fruit.
The Yellow variety has larger fruit up to golf ball size, with a slightly milder flavour.
A small evergreen tree or bushy shrub, to around 5 metres, Guava can be pruned to maintain a dense compact habit, and work well as a hedging or screening plant.
